WELCOME TO THE 2ND ANNUAL DEXTER DUCK DERBY
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Dexter Duck Derby held in Dexter, NY! We are excited to start our second year with some exciting news. The Class of 2025 has decided to grow and expand the event to include several local non-profits in our community to join the Dexter Duck Derby to raise awareness for their organizations while raising money to support their missions.
Joining us this year are the following organizations:
- SPCA of Jefferson County
- Children's Miracle Network via Walmart in Watertown
- American Cancer Society: Team Blue & Randy's Rangers, Storm Chasers, Poppas Ventures
- American Heart Association: Team Zimm
- All Creatures Big and Small Animal Rescue

- Potsdam Humane Society
- Gracious Friends Animal Sanctuary
- Friends 4 Pound Paws
- Cerebral Palsy Home Care Services via the Watertown Elks Lodge #496

Each organization will be selling duck adoption certificates in person or you can purchase them on our website. We hope you join us on the day of the event, June 8, 2024, and watch the ducks set sail and race to the finish line. For more details about the event click here.

We extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Dexter Duck Derby this year. Whether you adopted a duck, sold tickets, tackled our Facebook challenges, shared our posts, collected ducks from the river, drove the boat, managed finances, dedicated countless hours to website development and marketing, or filled out orders, we couldn't have done it without you!
As with any new event, there is always room for improvement. This year brought its own set of challenges with an unruly river current and windy conditions, but rest assured, we're already brainstorming new ideas for next year!
The ultimate goal of this event is to bring people together and support the many non-profits and community groups that rely on your generous donations. At the end of the day, it’s not about winning or losing but knowing that your contribution made a difference.
